Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service seeks a Maryland First Grade Stationary Engineer at the Central Maryland Correctional Facility Steam Plant in Sykesville, MD. The role oversees firetube boilers and auxiliary equipment to ensure efficient steam generation for clients.

The engineer will maintain daily logs, communicate with the Chief Engineer, and perform routine maintenance and other duties. This is a part-time role with 24 hours weekly, Fri–Sun shifts, 8- or 12-hour options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with three years of steam plant operating experience.
• First Grade State of Maryland Stationary Engineer's License is required.
• Valid driver's license with minimal points is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate firetube boilers and auxiliary equipment to produce steam.
• Maintain daily logs and communicate with the Chief Engineer.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and other duties as assigned.
