Job summary

Village of Fox Crossing is seeking part-time firefighters to provide coverage primarily between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and around the clock on weekends in 12-hour shifts.

Applicants must commit to a minimum of four shifts per month and complete a range of assessments as part of the hiring process. The ideal candidate will hold Wisconsin Firefighter I, a valid driver’s license, EMS First Responder certification or higher, and complete NIMS 100/200/700 trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license.

• Physical abilities test, oral interview, skills assessment, medical exam, drug test and background check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage during 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday–Friday and weekend shifts.
• Assist in fire/EMS responses, inspections and public education.
• Operate apparatus if certified and participate in drills and training.
