Job summary

Village of Fox Crossing is seeking part-time firefighters to provide coverage primarily between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and around the clock on weekends in 12-hour shifts.

Applicants must commit to a minimum of four shifts per month and complete a range of assessments as part of the hiring process. The ideal candidate will hold Wisconsin Firefighter I, a valid driver’s license, EMS First Responder certification or higher, and complete NIMS 100/200/700 trainings.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Fox Crossing Fire Department is creating an eligibility list for the position of Part-Time Firefighter. Those hired will assist in providing coverage between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and around the clock on the weekends from Friday evening through Monday morning (12-hour shifts). Applicants filling these positions will need to work a minimum of four (4) shifts per month.

The position requires skills and abilities in Fire and EMS emergency response, fire inspections, apparatus driving and operation (if certified), public education, and customer service. A detailed position description is available by request.

• 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• State of Wisconsin Firefighter I certification
• State of Wisconsin Driver Operator - Pumper certification (desired)
• Current State of Wisconsin EMS First Responder Certification or higher
• Completion of NIMS 100,200, and 700
