Qualifications

• Five (5) years of Firefighter experience.
• Fire Fighter II/Basic Operations Firefighter certification.
• State of Illinois non-CDL Class B driver’s license.
• NFPA 1582 medical and physical agility screenings completed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency incidents as a member of an O’Fallon Fire Rescue company.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and maintenance of equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
• Perform fire prevention tasks including safety presentations and installing smoke detectors.
• Conduct company level pre-plan inspections of local businesses for fire safety and code enforcement.
• Participate in training and drills to maintain high performance.
