Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must live within the corporate city limits of the Village of Rantoul.
• Written skills test and oral interview required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire; medical; or other emergencies as required.
• Inspect equipment to ensure readiness for emergencies.
• Attend meetings and assist with fire prevention education.

Skills

Firefighter Operations Basic certification

National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification

Valid State of Illinois driver’s license
