Job summary

South Ogden City is seeking a Part-Time Firefighter/AEMT to perform entry-level firefighting, emergency medical aid, and fire prevention/education duties while maintaining equipment and facilities.

Applicants must be at least 18, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, AEMT, Hazmat Awareness and Operations, Firefighter I and II certs, one year of experience, and a valid driver's license, and be able to work 24 hours per month. Background check and drug screen are required.

Job description

South Ogden City is accepting applications for Part-Time Firefighter/AEMT.

Firefighters provide a variety of entry-level firefighting duties related to protection of life and property by performing firefighting, emergency medical aid, and fire prevention/education duties. This position also performs minor maintenance efforts with firefighting and medical equipment, apparatus, and facilities.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent,
• An AEMT, Hazmat Awareness and Operations, Firefighter I and II Cert,
• One year of experience,
• And a valid driver's license.
• Required to work 24 hours a month

The starting salary is $19.70 to $25.93 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Successful applicants will have to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
