Job summary

South Ogden City is seeking a full-time Firefighter to join the Fire Department. Applicants must be at least 18, hold A-EMT, Hazmat awareness and operations, Firefighter II, and a valid driver's license.

Firefighters provide a variety of firefighting duties related to protection of life and property by performing firefighting, emergency medical aid, and fire prevention/education duties. This position also performs minor maintenance with equipment, apparatus, and facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Hold A-EMT certification.
• Hazmat awareness and operations certification.
• Firefighter II certification and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform firefighting, emergency medical aid, and fire prevention/education duties.
• Provide equipment, apparatus, and facility maintenance as needed.
• Contribute to life-saving responses and public safety initiatives.

Job description

South Ogden City is accepting applications for full-time Firefighter. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have A-EMT, Hazmat awareness and operations, Firefighter II Cert, and a valid driver's license.

Firefighters provide a variety of firefighting duties related to protection of life and property by performing firefighting, emergency medical aid, and fire prevention/education duties. This position also performs minor maintenance efforts with firefighting and medical equipment, apparatus, and facilities.

A seasoned firefighter can make up to $86,703, but the starting annual salary is between $54,293-$71,463 based on experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a generous benefit package, which includes a health insurance plan, dental and vision for employees and dependents.

Successful applicants will have to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
