Job summary

The University of Tampa is seeking a part-time instructor in Film, Animation, and New Media for the 2026-2027 academic year. The successful candidate will teach courses in critical studies of new media practices, animation, and media arts. Candidates should have a PhD or Master's degree in a related area and prior college teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities include teaching, creating course materials, grading, and meeting with students outside of class. This position offers opportunities to engage with a diverse university community.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master of Arts degree in related area is required.
• Minimum of a Master's Degree and at least 18 credit hours in your discipline, is required.
• College teaching experience preferred in related areas.

Responsibilities

• Teach one or two 4-hour courses per semester.
• Create syllabus or utilize department syllabus and course assignments.
• Provide meeting time outside of class hours for students.
• Grade assignments.
• Manage online/paperwork grading system.
