Job summary

Arable is seeking a part-time Field Support Contractor based in or near North Platte, Nebraska, to assist the Customer Success team across western Nebraska. This role involves on-site field work, installing and maintaining Arable devices, visiting fields, and coordinating with the technical team to ensure projects run smoothly.

The position requires practical agricultural experience, reliability, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in agriculture, farming, agronomy, irrigation, crop consulting, agricultural technology, or related field.
• Familiarity with Nebraska agriculture, especially western Nebraska.
• Hands-on, independent work in field environments.
• Basic technical aptitude and ability to learn field technology.
• Strong reliability, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Driver's license and ability to travel throughout the region.
• Flexibility to work varying hours based on seasonal/project needs.
• Degree in agriculture or related field is helpful but not required if you have relevant practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, set up, maintain, and remove Arable field devices in the field.
• Visit customer fields to inspect equipment and verify operation.
• Troubleshoot basic field issues and coordinate with Customer Success/tech teams.
• Support seasonal field activities, project setup, and other customer-support needs.
• Communicate with growers and farm managers professionally in the field.
• Provide updates, field observations, and photos to the Arable team after site visits.
• Identify potential field issues and report to the appropriate team.
• Assist with larger installations, maintenance projects, or peak field activity.
• Participate in training on Arable products, technology, and field procedures.
