Job summary

Nebraska Harvest Center Inc. in Ogallala, NE seeks a Field Service Technician to repair CLAAS equipment in the field, shop, or customer sites. You will troubleshoot engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and HVAC, and perform failure analyses using CLAAS tools.

Responsibilities include on-site repairs, parts research with SIS, machine setup, and documenting labor and warranty reports. Travel within the region and occasional evenings/weekends are required; tools are user-provided.

Qualifications

• Diesel Tech School Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in a field service technician role, preferred.
• Prior experience in troubleshooting methods and tools required.
• Must provide personal tools for position
• Working knowledge of CLAAS parts, a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret parts and machine schematics.
• Ability to travel within region and to be able to work with limited supervision.
• Must be self-sufficient with a proven ability to work independently and a strong willingness to learn.
• Must be able to maintain professionalism at all times.
• Farm background desirable.
• Ability to safely operate large machinery.
• Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high volume workload in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs customer machines at customer jobsites.
• Uses SIS to order parts, troubleshoot machine systems and research problems.
• Machinery Inspection
• Machinery Set-Up and Adjustment
• Uses laptop to enter labor, fill out service reports, and complete warranty reports.
• Uses service manuals and parts books to look up specs and parts for repairs.
• Adheres to established company values, practices, policies and procedures at all times. Follows and supports compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations and standards.
• Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.
• Note: This position includes frequent travel by auto; valid driver’s license with a verifiably safe driving history is required. May require overnight travel and weekend or evening work.
