Job summary

National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) seeks a Professional Land Surveyor for the USBR program in Glendale, AZ. The role is 20 hours per week with a wage of $65.80 per hour, focusing on geodetic surveys, mapping, and fieldwork under the Experienced Services Program.

A current PLS license in good standing and proficiency with Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, and MS Office are required. The position is temporarily funded for 2,860 hours and entails occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Professional Land Surveyor license in good standing or be able to reactivate within 3 months.
• Driver's license required; reactivation or license fees may be reimbursed.
• Experience with geodetic surveying, mapping, and GIS tools; proficiency in Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Perform geodetic surveys and topographic field mapping for varied terrains.
• Develop tract maps and legal descriptions; create official drawings with AutoCAD.
• Plan, schedule, and estimate engineering surveys and GPS surveys for the office.
• Serve as senior technical authority and guide survey crews; advise managers.
• Maintain survey equipment and software licenses; ensure calibration and operation.
