Job summary

Ellsworth Corporation is seeking a Part-time ePlus Field Inventory Specialist to monitor and maintain inventory at customer sites in the Murfreesboro, TN area. The role uses VMI software, enforces FIFO, and includes periodic cycle counts and shelf-life reviews to mitigate waste. A driver’s license and the ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

The position offers above-market pay, a benefits package, and flexible hours within a 12–15 hour workweek, with travel as needed to assigned customers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related industrial experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication skills across levels internally and externally.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.
• Good listener with confidentiality for customer requirements.
• Adaptable to changing work environments.
• Capable of managing inventory transactions across multiple locations.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Familiar with VMI software and RFID technology.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; access to a vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some outdoor work and travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs inventory transactions following FIFO for lot-controlled and non-lot inventory.
• Validates inbound shipments against pack slips and completes VMI receipts.
• Put away stock in designated customer inventory storage locations.
• Review shelf-life reports and flag issues with the team or customers.
• Scrap material when appropriate following disposal procedures.
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile VMI with actual inventory.
• Engage with key customer contacts to understand demand fluctuations.
• Identify onsite issues and escalate as needed.
• Maintain Account Attribute master documents per customer/location; manage consigned vs non-consigned inventory.
