Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii seeks a part-time Sales Associate to greet customers, promote products and deliver exceptional service. You’ll assist customers, learn offerings, and communicate benefits professionally in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include inventory checks, basic math transactions, and using the POS system. Availability for varied hours, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of products and merchandise.
• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and interpret safety instructions and manuals.
• Basic math skills for transactions and balancing cash.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage and connect with customers.
• Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about promotions.
• Provide premier customer service and upsell where appropriate.
• Maintain store appearance and inventory accuracy.
• Operate a Point-of-Sales system and handle cash and payments.
• Complete paperwork, reports and reconciliation tasks.
