Job summary

Talbots is seeking a part-time store associate in the St. Louis area to provide exceptional customer service, style guidance, and fashion-forward recommendations. You will support store operations, assist management, and help build lasting relationships with customers.

Ideal candidates demonstrate selling competence, fashion knowledge, and strong communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, diverse environment. Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate selling competence, styling expertise and love of fashion.
• Driven to create, build and cultivate relationships.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and integrity.
• Ability to navigate a computer/iPad/handheld system.
• Strong organizational skills and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate effectively in a diverse team.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• 15–20 hours per week with flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Assist management to build store business.
• Support service enhancers to strengthen customer relationships.
• Serve multiple customers, multi-task, and handle projects concurrently.
• Stay informed on fashion trends and product knowledge to advise customers.
• Create outfits using knowledge of fit, color and style to meet needs.
• Contribute to achieving sales and service metrics, including clientelling and outreach.
• Complete operational tasks such as filling orders and replenishment.
