Job summary

Proactive MD is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to deliver comprehensive primary care at our employer-sponsored health center in Midland, TX. The position is 20 hours per week, with a schedule to be determined, and the new clinic opens January 4, 2027 at 4815 E Hwy 80 Midland, TX 79706.

This role emphasizes patient-centered care without traditional fee-for-service pressures, allowing more time with patients and focus on long-term health outcomes.

Qualifications

• MSN required and FNP certification.
• Current RN and NP licenses in the state of practice.
• BLS certification and prescriptive authority in state/federal law.
• Experience with EMR systems, Athenahealth preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to adults and pediatrics in an employer-based health center.
• Perform preventive, acute, and chronic care visits with thorough exams.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with patient collaboration.
• Coordinate referrals and order/interpret labs and tests.
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR and maintain HIPAA/OSHA standards.
