TUESDAY/THURSDAY CLINIC SESSION 2:30 PM-8:30 PM
The FNP will have scheduled appointments while also serving as a clinical and educational resource across the Tuesday and Thursday clinic sessions. - Pre-Clinic Huddle Review scheduled patients, visit types, interpreter needs, supplies, vaccines, anticipated consultations, and other pre-clinic needs. Communicate follow-up updates to volunteer providers and prepare medical students for their assigned roles.
- Student-Led Intake Medical students may obtain patient history, vital signs, medications and allergies, immunization history, pregnancy status when relevant, and screening information. The FNP reviews and confirms information needed for clinical decision-making.
- FNP Evaluation See scheduled patients for primary, preventive, and women's health care, including routine Pap appointments. Complete assessment, examination, diagnosis, testing, treatment, prescriptions, education, and referrals when appropriate.
- Cross-Clinic Care Provide vaccinations, procedures, clinical consultation, or other services needed by patients seen by volunteer clinical providers. Incorporate students into care and teaching when appropriate.
