House Staffing is seeking a warm, dependable Part-Time Family Assistant for a private family moving from Woodside to San Francisco. The role is on-site with a 20-hour week, potentially increasing to 30 hours, including some weekend events.

Responsibilities include errands, coordinating basic appointments, assisting the nanny, light housekeeping, meal/snack prep, and light pet care. Must have 2+ years of family assistant experience and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references
• Fluency in English
• COVID vaccination + booster, TB and Tdap vaccination
• CPR certification
• Clean driving record and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
• Warm, adaptable, and a natural team player
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Proactive and able to anticipate what’s needed
• Comfortable working with children and household staff
• Reliable communicator—reports back promptly and clearly

Responsabilités

• Run errands as needed using own car (mileage reimbursed)
• Schedule and coordinate basic appointments and service visits
• Assist nanny with children as needed
• Folding laundry and tidying
• Prepare snacks for the kids
• Support housekeeping with packing lists for family travel
• Help organize and maintain order throughout the home
• Collect and sort mail and packages
• Execute tasks and special projects as directed by leadership
• Pet care: grooming appointments and minimizing vendor disruptions onsite

Description

A private family moving from Woodside to SF is seeking a warm, dependable Family Assistant to support the flow of daily home life. This is a hands-on role for someone who is resourceful, organized, and happy to pitch in wherever needed. Reporting directly to remote leadership, this person works closely with the nanny and housekeeping team to keep things moving smoothly on the ground.
The family is currently residing in Woodside, but will be moving to San Francisco in summer 2027. Candidates will mostly be working from Woodside until then, but may need to travel between Woodside and SF until they are fully moved into the city.

This position is part-time, on-site. Flexibility required - some availability outside traditional business hours may be needed for special events, etc.

Experience Requirements
