Job summary

A family in Burlingame, CA is seeking an energetic Family Assistant to help run their household and care for three children aged 10 months, 4, and 5 years. The role includes errands, meal prep, lunch prep, light tidying, and organizing while maintaining a warm, family-oriented environment.

The schedule is 30-35 hours per week, mornings or afternoons/early evenings, with occasional weekends and date nights as needed. A long-term commitment is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience working as a Family Assistant with excellent verifiable references
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Be an extra set of hands for childcare as needed - stepping in to watch the baby or engaging with their 4 and 5 year old
• Running errands (grocery shopping, returning packages, dry cleaning, shopping for household essentials, etc.)
• Meal prep / simple cooking for the family
• Preparing kids' lunches for the next day
• Potentially help with driving the kids to or from school
• Family laundry
• Light tidying (kids' bedrooms, play areas, common areas); they have weekly cleaners
• Organizing (going through kids' clothing, rotating/donating toys, pantry, closets, etc.)
• Helping with pet care as needed (walking / feeding the dog)
