Job summary

Valley Christian Schools is seeking a Kids Club Aide to support students after school from 3:00 p.m.–5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will help foster social, emotional, and academic growth while modeling Christian-based principles alongside the Kids Club Coordinator.

The role emphasizes a nurturing, safe environment, teamwork with other aides, and respectful communication with families. A background check is required and CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is a consistent testimony to others
• Agree to uphold Valley Christian’s Mission & Beliefs
• Faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose beliefs align with our Mission & Beliefs
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
• Ability to multi-task with organization
• Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment under varying conditions
• Be flexible to stay late if a parent arrives late
• Ability to communicate with parents when students misbehave during Kids Club
• Able to create a weekly schedule for Kids Club attendees
• Must comply with background check procedures at time of hiring

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a passion for ministering to students through encouragement and example
• Exercise open and respectful communication with fellow aides, supervisors, and staff
• Assist in managing student behavior according to guidelines
• Assist with check-in and check-out for after school attendees
• Supervise playground and maintain visual on students
• Plan and execute crafts, games, and activity centers
• Assist with setup and breakdown of activities
• Wipe down tables and counters
• Secure doors and play areas
• Maintain professional communication with staff, students, and parents
• Help students with homework when needed
