El Camino College is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to joinits Student Health Services team!

The Registered Nurse provides healthcare services to students,ensuring their physical and mental well-being. Responsibilitiesinclude conducting health assessments, administering treatments forcommon illnesses and injuries, managing medical records, offeringhealth and well-being education, and collaborating with othermedical and mental healthcare professionals to promote a healthycampus environment.

The Registered Nurse will serve as a vital resource for students,faculty, and staff, supporting a culture of holistic studentwellness and addressing medical needs within the collegiatecommunity, both in the Student Health Center and the Center forWell-Being.

The Registered Nurse will provide confidential holistic health careservices to currently enrolled students, which includes health andwell-being promotion, illness prevention, and health andpsycho-education.

The Registered Nurse will provide the following types of service toindividuals in Student Health Services: treatment for commonillnesses and injuries (including medical and mental health firstaid), student outreach, family planning education, SexuallyTransmitted Infection (STI) testing and treatment, andgeneral/preventative health screenings.

The Registered Nurse will work in a collaborative relationship withphysicians, nurse practitioners, administrative staff, and clinicalpsychologists.

Faculty assignments may include morning, afternoon, evening, orweekend hours.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's degree in Nursing with a minimum of two years'experience in the discipline;
• A valid, current California Registered Nursing License;
• A current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certificate;

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a California Public Health Nursecertificate.
• Two years' experience in ambulatory and adult public health.
• Prior experience in college health is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in approaching work and interactions withcolleagues and/or students in an equity minded manner and theability to provide an inclusive and welcoming work/educationalenvironment.

SALARY

Part-time non-instructional faculty. The beginning rate is $62.34 -$82.80, per hour depending on education and experience.
