Trinity University in Texas seeks a Part-Time Faculty member for Spring 2027 to teach Philosophy courses including Philosophy of Mind (PHIL-3431-1) and either Knowledge, Reality, and the Good Life (PHIL-1301-1) or Ethics (PHIL 1354-1).

This non-renewable, one-semester appointment requires a Ph.D. or ABD in Philosophy and the ability to design rigorous assignments, deliver engaging lectures, and maintain office hours.

Qualifications

• Develop syllabus meeting departmental and University standards
• Deliver engaging lectures, discussions, in-class activities, and assignments
• Grade assigned papers, quizzes, and exams
• Assign early, midterm, and final grades in compliance with University deadlines
• Maintaining office hours as directed by the department chair or program director

EITHER: PHIL-1301-1: Knowledge, Reality, and the Good Life
OR: PHIL 1354-1: Ethics

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Typical responsibilities of part-time faculty members include but are not limited to:
