PCC Portland Community College is looking for Part-Time Faculty assignments in Health Studies. Candidates will teach courses in CPR, First Aid, and Health and Fitness at all four PCC campuses, contributing to the educational development of adult learners.

Job Overview

Portland Community College is accepting applications for Part‑Time Faculty assignments in Health Studies. Courses in health are taught at all four main PCC campuses and the department will review applications as new teaching needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in CPR, First Aid, Health and Fitness, and Stress Management.
• Prepare and deliver course content, assignments, and assessments in alignment with PCC standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely course records and reports.
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities as required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or higher in Health Education, Health Science, Community Health, Public Health, or any subject with at least 30 quarter hours of graduate coursework in at least three of the Course Content Areas listed below.
• At least one upper‑division or graduate course in public health preferred.
• Prior teaching experience at the college level or with adult learners preferred.
• Will be asked to provide a list of PCC courses you are able to teach.

Location & Eligibility

Employment limited to individuals currently residing in Oregon or Washington. Employment offers contingent upon establishing residence in one of those states.

• Start at Step1 of the current salary schedule; hourly rates determined by course type (lecture, lab, or lecture/lab).
