Position Overview

SCC invites qualified candidates to apply for our part‑time faculty position to teach Spanish this upcoming semester, and possibly future semesters. The position may teach in‑person or online courses; preference given to candidates able to teach on‑campus courses of introductory and/or intermediate Spanish. Part‑time appointments are made on a semester‑by‑semester (as needed) basis.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Spanish, or a Master's in a related field and at least 18 hours of graduate level Spanish coursework is required; Ph.D. preferred.
• Prior teaching experience and/or liaison to local high schools preferred.
• Translation/interpretation experience is a plus, as is a master's degree in an additional language and/or education.
