Job summary

St. Charles Community College is seeking a qualified candidate for a part-time faculty position to teach Spanish starting this upcoming semester. The position involves teaching introductory and/or intermediate Spanish courses, either in-person on campus or online. Candidates must have a Master's degree in Spanish or a related field with at least 18 hours of graduate level coursework. Prior teaching experience and translation experience are preferred. This is a part-time role that operates on a semester-by-semester basis.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Spanish or at least 18 hours of graduate level Spanish coursework is required.
• Prior teaching experience and/or connections to local high schools are preferred.
• Translation/interpretation experience, as well as a master's degree in an additional language, are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish, either in-person or online.
• Preference for candidates able to teach introductory and/or intermediate Spanish on campus.
• Part-time appointments on a semester-by-semester basis.
