Pratt Institute's Department of Mathematics and Science invites applications to join its pool of part-time instructors who will teach undergraduate lecture and lab courses across Mathematics & Quantitative Reasoning, Computational & Applied Sciences, Physical, Chemical, Earth, and Life Sciences.

Courses follow a studio schedule with one three-hour meeting per week and small classes of 15–22 students.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a relevant STEM field; strong candidates progressing toward degree encouraged.
• Experience teaching undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses.
• Experience teaching in traditional and non-traditional instructional settings.

Responsabilités

• Teach undergraduate lecture courses across multiple STEM areas.

The Department of Mathematics and Science in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Pratt Institute (Brooklyn and Manhattan Campuses) invites applications as part of an open call to join our pool of part-time faculty. The department provides foundational and advanced STEM coursework tailored for emerging artists, designers, and architects. We are seeking qualified part-time instructors to teach undergraduate lecture and laboratory/studio-integrated courses across the following curricular areas:

• Mathematics & Quantitative Reasoning
• Computational & Applied Sciences, including coding and AI literacy
• Physical Sciences
• Chemical & Materials Sciences
• Earth, Environmental, & Ecological Sciences
• Life & Biological Sciences

Our courses contribute to Pratt’s General Education program in support of our diverse creative majors. Following a studio schedule (one three-hour meeting per week), we maintain small class sizes (ranging from 15 to 22 students).

Pay Rate: $2,050 – $2,350 per contact hour with standard 3 credits per course (or prevailing rate in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement). This is a Local 1460 UFCT position.
