San Jacinto College in Texas seeks part-time cosmetology instructors to teach courses across available shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and work for the duration of the course, with on-site requirements at the assigned location.

Instructors are not entitled to regular full-time benefits and employment depends on course demand and scheduling. A valid Texas Cosmetology License and an Associate's Degree or higher are required.

Teaching Cosmetology.

Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available. These positions are not current vacancies. Instructors employed as part-time faculty are not entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees. Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course. A portion of teaching assignment may be evening classes and possibly weekend classes. Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location.

Required Qualifications

• Must have at least three (3) years’ work experience in Cosmetology.
• Associate's Degree (or higher level degree).
• A valid Texas Cosmetology License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cosmetology Instructor training
