Job Summary

The Department of Clinical Sciences is now accepting applications for a pool of part‑time faculty to provide clinical instruction for the 2026‑2027 academic year. These positions are on an as‑needed, semester‑by‑semester basis.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the department chair, discipline‑specific program or clinical coordinator, the part‑time clinical instructor assists supervising faculty who facilitate student learning in a clinical setting, including hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, or cancer centers. Job responsibilities include supervising students, demonstrating skills and appropriate behaviors, ensuring student and patient safety, documenting and approving student time and attendance, evaluating students’ clinical performance, and serving as liaison between the clinical practicum site and the university, providing regular updates to the program regarding student performance.

Required Qualifications

• Licensure, certification, and registration in the appropriate field:
  • For Cardiovascular Interventional Science, active Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential.
  • For Diagnostic Medical Sonography, active American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) credential.
  • For Nuclear Medicine, active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists RT(N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board CNMT credential.
  • For Radiation Therapy, active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists RT(T) credential.
  • For Radiography, active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists RT(R) credential.
• At least one year of professional experience in the clinical setting.
• Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
• Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher.

Proposed Salary

Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
