Chelsea Retirement Community in Chelsea, MI is seeking a Part-time Facility Support Personnel to maintain the facility, grounds, and equipment. The role supports residents' comfort and safety with dependable, detail-oriented service.

The position offers shift premiums and part-time hours (25 per week) with rotating weekends and holidays. A Michigan driver’s license and custodial/maintenance experience are required, with a $16.97–$20.69/hour pay range.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in custodial work.
• Valid unrestricted state of Michigan driver's license.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• At least 1 year of maintenance work preferred.
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Ensure the facility equipment is working properly.
• Vacuum, shampoo, and deodorize carpets.
• Clean dining rooms and common areas.
• Clean restrooms, replenish supplies, and maintain cleanliness throughout the day.
• Empty trash bins and manage waste disposal per department procedures.
• Assist in cleaning windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
• Set up and take down furniture and equipment for events or meetings.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to the Facility Support Manager.
• Assist with inventory management by organizing and restocking cleaning supplies.
• Complete work orders timely through the electronic portal system.
• Assist with room moves including furniture, clothing, and other personal items.
