Quadrant Health Group's Des Moines Wellness Center in Johnston, IA seeks a reliable Part-Time Facility Maintenance Technician to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for clients and staff. The role involves routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep with a flexible 15–25 hour workweek.

You will handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting tasks, respond to maintenance requests and on-call emergencies, and coordinate with contractors as needed.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools and recognize when specialized assistance is needed.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
• Clear communication with staff, management, contractors, and vendors.
• Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and respect for clients in a recovery-focused environment.
• Commitment to professional boundaries and client confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for clients, staff, and visitors.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and general facility upkeep.
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks; refer specialized work.
• Install, repair, and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
• Repair drywall, patch holes, and perform touch-up painting.
• Assemble and install furniture, shelving, and office equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and on-call emergencies.
• Maintain outdoor areas and coordinate with contractors as needed.
