Job summary

Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, Inc. is seeking a part-time maintenance assistant to keep all facilities clean and orderly.

You will perform cleaning duties in offices, meeting rooms, reception areas, kitchens, restrooms, and outdoor spaces under the supervision of the Maintenance Team Lead. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and friendly service to staff, volunteers, and visitors, with 16-20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties across offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff, volunteers, and guests.
• Part-time availability 16-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Restrooms: cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors and replenishes supplies.
• Floors: sweeps, mops and vacuums; may scrub, wax and polish floors.
• Kitchens/Break rooms: cleans sinks/counters/tables/appliances; run dishwasher; replenish supplies.
• Trash: empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transports to disposal area.
• Outside: maintains sidewalks/courtyard, waters/prunes plants, turns fountains on/off.
• Maintenance/Repairs: conducts light-duty maintenance as needed.
• Meeting/Event Set Up: arranges/removes tables and chairs for meetings/events.
• Other Duties: dusts furniture/equipment, washes walls/windows, etc.
