Job summary

Hope Haven of East Texas is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for three properties and all vehicles, performing repairs and preventive maintenance.

The role requires a high school diploma, a Texas driver's license, and the ability to work independently in a faith-based nonprofit environment.

You will troubleshoot drywall, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems, coordinate with vendors, and keep detailed logs.

Qualifications

• Must pass FBI background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with insurable record.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with drywall, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, handyman work.
• Troubleshoot issues and know when licensed help is needed.
• Safely use common hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Hope Haven's three properties and vehicles.
• Perform drywall, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC work.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and report to Operations Manager.
• Keep maintenance logs and maintain tools and supplies.
• Respond to urgent or emergency maintenance needs.
