Job summary

Haven for Hope of Bexar County is seeking a Custodian/Maintenance Technician to perform a wide range of upkeep across the campus, from cleaning to minor repairs. The role requires routine maintenance, event setup, and floor care, with after-hours availability for emergencies.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or GED required.
2 years custodial experience and 2 years general maintenance experience.
Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation with proper auto insurance.

Responsibilities

Performs routine maintenance across the campus, including fixing structural damage, plumbing repairs, and door/window upkeep.
Picks up, moves, or relocates equipment as directed and assists with facility setup for meetings and events.
Maintains floors and surfaces: stripping, buffing, sealing, waxing; cleans carpets and upholstery as needed.
Restocks supplies, cleans and sanitizes restrooms, and manages waste containers.
Responds to emergencies (spills, hazards) and books light fixtures and ceiling tiles replacement.
Ensures work area stays free of trash and hazards and performs other duties as assigned.
