MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Reports to: Operations Manager
DUTIES
Maintains and performs general maintenance and repairs for Hope Haven's three properties and all vehicles. Performs necessary repairs to drywall, fixtures, appliances, furniture, equipment, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems. Conducts routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential problems. Communicates maintenance needs to the Operations Manager and coordinates with outside vendors and contractors as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to pass an FBI fingerprint background check.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess a valid Texas Driver's License and have a driving record within the guidelines of the organization's insurance provider.
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, manage interruptions, and work effectively in stressful situations.
- Experience with drywall installation and repair, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general handyman work.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and identify when specialized or licensed services are needed.
- Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Perform general maintenance and repairs for Hope Haven's three properties and all vehicles.
- Inspect properties regularly to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and potential problems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on buildings, appliances, equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Perform repairs involving drywall, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, fixtures, appliances, furniture, and general handyman work.
- Perform basic HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Assist with routine inspections and maintenance of homes, vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
- Maintain a log of maintenance requests, inspections, repairs, parts, and repair costs.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
- Communicate maintenance needs, safety concerns, and potential problems to the Operations Manager.
- Coordinate with outside vendors, contractors, and inspectors as needed.
- Respond to urgent or emergency maintenance needs.
- Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
NOTE

- Ability to be certified in CPR & First Aid.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to exercise patience, good judgment, and confidentiality and to observe and make accurate assessments of situations using available information.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.

- Must not have been convicted of a felony or criminal offense against a child.
