Job summary

St. Luke's Methodist Church in Oklahoma City is seeking a Part Time Facility Technician to support multiple campuses, including Downtown and Edmond. This floating role covers event coordination, setup/teardown, light cleaning, and basic maintenance duties.

The position runs 6am–10pm daily with hours Mon-Fri 12:00pm–8:00pm and some Sat/Sun as needed; compensation is $18 per hour, negotiable by experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to serve guests, staff, and volunteers with a friendly attitude.
• Flexibility to adjust and resolve last-minute situations.
• Ability to lift and move chairs/tables (up to 50 lbs).
• Strong communication with guests and staff daily (in person, phone, email).
• Experience with drywall, plumbing, electrical, roofing repairs, painting, and basic carpentry.
• Experience with major repairs or remodels is a plus.

St. Luke's Methodist Church is a large, fast-growing church with multiple campuses and a significant outreach to the community. We currently have a position available for a Part Time Facility Technician at our St. Luke's locations. Position will be a floating position in which you will work at both our Downtown and Edmond campuses.

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate events to make sure all the details are handled in a timely manner
• Proficient with organizing and coordinating all the details of an event especially related to setup and teardown
• Strong organizational skills with an eye for details that make our events hospitable to all who come
• Minor cleaning such as trash removal and vacuuming
• Perform light maintenance duties
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Proficiencies:

• Desire to serve others such as; guests, staff members, and volunteers
• Flexibility to adjust and resolve last minute situations
• Ability to lift chairs and move tables (up to 50lbs or more)
• Strong Communication skills that will involve communicating with guests and staff on a daily basis through face-to-face contact, phone, and, e-mail
• Must have experience with the following: Drywall repair, minor plumbing repair, minor electrical repair, minor roofing repairs, painting, basic carpentry, use of power tools
• Experience fixing major electrical, plumbing, and roofing repairs a plus
• Experience with complete remodels including trim carpentry a plus

Additional Information:

• Part-Time hourly position: $18 hr (negotiable, commensurate with experience)
• Hours of Facility Operation: 6am - 10pm daily
• Position Hours: Mon. - Fri. 12:00pm-8:00pm, Sat & Sun as needed
• Specific days, start times, and end times may vary
