Job summary

St. Luke's Methodist Church is seeking a Full Time Facility Technician for our Downtown and Edmond campuses. The role covers event coordination, setup/teardown, light cleaning, and basic maintenance from 6am to 10pm, Mon–Sun as needed.

This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, strong communication with guests and staff, and experience with drywall, plumbing, electrical, roofing, painting, carpentry, and power tools. Background check is required.

Qualifications

• Desire to serve guests, staff, and volunteers.
• Flexibility to adjust and resolve last-minute situations.
• Ability to lift chairs and move tables (up to 50 lbs).
• Strong communication with guests and staff daily (in person, phone, email).
• Experience with drywall repair, minor plumbing/electrical/roofing, painting, basic carpentry, and use of power tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate events and ensure all details are handled timely.
• Organize and coordinate event setup and teardown.
• Maintain hospitable, detail-oriented atmosphere for events.
• Assist with light cleaning (trash removal, vacuuming).
• Perform light maintenance and small tasks (painting, carpentry).
• Other duties as assigned.

St. Luke's Methodist Church is a large, fast-growing church with multiple campuses and a significant outreach to the community. We currently have a position available for a Full Time Facility Technician at our St. Luke's locations. We have one position for our Downtown campus and one for our Edmond campus.

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate events to make sure all the details are handled in a timely manner
• Proficient with organizing and coordinating all the details of an event especially related to setup and teardown
• Strong organizational skills with an eye for details that make our events hospitable to all who come
• Minor cleaning such as trash removal and vacuuming
• Perform light maintenance duties (painting and other small task)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Proficiencies:

• Desire to serve others such as; guests, staff members, and volunteers
• Flexibility to adjust and resolve last minute situations
• Ability to lift chairs and move tables (up to 50lbs or more)
• Strong Communication skills that will involve communicating with guests and staff on a daily basis through face-to-face contact, phone, and, e-mail
• Must have experience with the following: Drywall repair, minor plumbing repair, minor electrical repair, minor roofing repairs, painting, basic carpentry, use of power tools
• Experience fixing major electrical, plumbing, and roofing repairs a plus
• Experience with complete remodels including trim carpentry a plus

Additional Information:

• Full-Time hourly position
• Hours of Facility Operation: 6am - 10pm daily
• Position Hours: Mon. - Fri. 11:00am-7:00pm, Sat & Sun as needed
• Specific days, start times, and end times may vary
• Must pass extensive background check
