Job summary

Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish and School in Denver, CO is seeking a part-time, temporary Maintenance Support Worker to help with daily upkeep of the church, school, and parish buildings.

The role covers minor repairs, painting, grounds maintenance, and custodial tasks to ensure a safe, functional environment for students, staff, and visitors. Lifting up to 50–100 pounds may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience as a maintenance worker.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good time management to handle multiple work orders.

Responsibilities

• Minor repairs: walls, doors, windows, locks, furniture.
• Repair leaky faucets, unclog drains, replace light bulbs/tubes.
• Interior/exterior painting and touch-ups.
• Grounds maintenance: lawn mowing, trash removal, landscaping.
• Setup/breakdown for events and meetings.
• Safety checks and reporting hazards.
