Job summary

Lancaster County is seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant to join its Facilities Management team at 950 Eshelman Mill Road, Lancaster, PA. You will perform general facility and custodial tasks to keep County properties clean, safe, and visitor-friendly, under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Key duties include cleaning restrooms, offices, pavilions and pool areas, loading trash, restocking supplies, and assisting with snow removal when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior janitorial/custodial experience preferred.
• Prior maintenance experience preferred.
• Snow plowing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general facility and custodial tasks on county properties.
• Clean restrooms, pavilions, offices and pool areas.
• Load/haul trash and recyclables; monitor supplies.
• Operate hand and power tools and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Oversee seasonal field work; possible weekend shifts.
