Job summary

Gulfport Sportsplex in Gulfport, MS is seeking a part-time janitor to support Operations by cleaning offices, meeting spaces, bathrooms, and public areas. You will greet guests, provide information, and help with wayfinding while delivering courteous service and maintaining a clean, welcoming facility.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, flexibility with shifts, and the ability to work with minimal supervision, following directions and completing non-routine cleaning tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping/janitorial/porter experience preferred.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts.
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
• Capacity to take direction and follow through.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, a combination of evenings, nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide information and wayfinding as needed.
• Provide courteous and friendly first-in-class service to all guests.
• Performs general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed.
• Monitors for spills throughout the facility and clean as needed.
• Cleans all floor surfaces and glass in facility.
• Cleans and maintain all bathrooms (toilets, sinks, floors, restock supplies, etc.).
• Cleans all guest seating and lobby area.
• Facility trash & recycles removal.
• Complete special projects, daily assignments and other duties as directed by management.
• Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests provide answers and directions as needed.
• Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders.
• Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up.
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
