Job summary

Fortis Native Group LLC is seeking a part-time custodian for an onsite position in Miami. The role involves cleaning, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting and polishing furniture, waste management, and setting up facilities for meetings or classes.

You will operate cleaning equipment safely and ensure buildings are secure when not in use. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Ability to move, carry and store items.
• Ability to walk, stand, kneel, reach, as required for cleaning.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
• Ability to work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Custodian Leadership and performing the assigned duties.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain bathrooms using specific procedures and products.
• Dust, polish, and wipe furniture.
• Empty and wash garbage bins and deal with recycling procedures when necessary.
• Vacuum flooring throughout facilities using upright or wide area vacuums.
• Help when setting facilities for meetings, events, or classrooms.
• Properly use and maintain power equipment and tools to maintain safety.
• Secure buildings and doors when they are not in use.
• Follow instructions regarding chemical use and safety hazards in the workplace.

Education
