Job summary

Fortis Native Group is seeking a part-time Custodian for our Athens, Georgia contract to provide custodial services at Fort Valley USARC. Duties include cleaning, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting furniture, vacuuming floors, and assisting with room setups for meetings or events.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and about 1 year of related experience. Candidates should be able to work in a team, follow instructions, and handle daily tasks reliably.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of custodial experience.
• Ability to move, carry and store items.
• Ability to walk, stand, kneel, and reach while cleaning.
• Must be able to follow instructions and work in a team.
• Reliable and able to perform daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain bathrooms using specified procedures and products.
• Dust, polish, and wipe furniture.
• Empty and wash garbage bins and handle recycling as needed.
• Vacuum flooring throughout facilities with upright or wide area vacuums.
• Set up rooms for meetings, events, or classrooms.
• Safely operate and maintain power equipment and tools.
• Secure buildings and doors when not in use.
• Follow safety instructions regarding chemical use.
