Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Madison, MS is hiring a Part-time Custodian to maintain cleanliness in our MS100 Distribution Center. Shift is MON TUE WED THU FRI, 8:00am - 1:00pm, up to 28 hours per week, with potential schedule flexibility after onboarding.

Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs and painting, disinfecting surfaces, and restocking supplies while complying with health and safety guidelines. Ideal candidates are reliable, organized, and able to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
• Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, mopping, and other bathroom services
• Performing minor repairs and painting at our facility
• Disinfecting commonly touched surfaces like door handles, drinking fountains, counters and tables
• Maintaining inventory supplies for cleaning and ordering products as needed
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
