Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a part-time custodian to clean the facility interior and exterior areas, keeping an attractive and sanitary environment. The role involves office cleaning, yard maintenance, and light repairs while adhering to policies.

The position requires basic cleaning skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently or in a team across shifts, with hours varying by operational needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Good cleaning techniques and floor buffing skills are expected.
• Must be professional in interaction with customers and coworkers.
• Good organizational skills are required.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills are needed.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat and pull/push custodial equipment throughout shift.
• Good chemical awareness; follow safety procedures.
• Able to follow instructions and complete required training.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, mop and dust office areas.
• Empty trash and clean restrooms.
• Perform general yard work and maintain grounds.
• Maintain parking areas free of trash.
• Clean dock and dock apron; perform minor repairs and painting.
• Change light bulbs and air conditioner filters as needed.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
