Qualifications

• One year of general experience in alterations and repairs is described.
• Specialized experience with sewing machines to alter garments.
• Ability to measure for proper garment fit and affix insignia as needed.

Responsibilities

• Makes alterations and repairs to uniforms and civilian garments (pinning, basting, trimming, lengthening/shortening).
• Takes customer body measurements for proper fit and handles special orders for insignia.
• Measures placement of insignia, mounts medals, and operates a sewing machine.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly, processes laundry/dry cleaning tickets, and handles tickets for pickup.
