Job summary

Akima in Honolulu, HI is seeking part-time Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMT) to perform high quality maintenance on transport category aircraft. Candidates must hold FAA Aircraft Maintenance Technician license with an A&P rating and be able to read and follow manuals, schematics, and procedures.

Responsibilities include inspections, testing, removal/replacement of parts, using power tools, maintaining accurate records, and working nights, weekends, and varying schedules.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid FAA Aircraft Maintenance Technician license with an Airframe and Power Plant rating.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance inspections, testing, and fault resolution.
• Removes and replaces defective parts with final operational checks.
• Operates power tools and related equipment per job assignment.
• Maintains accurate maintenance records in a timely manner.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures; works in a fast-paced environment.
