Job summary

Keke's Breakfast Cafe in Boca Raton is seeking an Expeditor to ensure orders are cooked in the correct sequence, assembled quickly, and presented beautifully to guests.

You will provide responsive support to servers, read tickets, plate according to recipes, and coordinate delivery from kitchen to tables. This is a full-time role with early shift hours and a requirement to work holidays.

• Prepare toast as needed for business operations
• Maintain clean server line areas; keep surfaces and utensils organized
• Be ready to assist co-workers and fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant

Job description

Keke's Breakfast Cafe is hiring for an Expeditor for the Boca Raton location.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Ensure that food is cooked in the right order, quickly, and presented to the customer as beautifully as possible. Provide responsive support service to create an exceptional dining experience for all our guests by assisting the servers in their duties and responsibilities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure orders are being cooked in a timely fashion, so that all orders for a table are ready at the same time.
• Ensure that once the food is cooked, servers run food to the table while it's warm and ready.
• Read tickets and prepare, to order, all food items following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits (8-10 minutes). Prepare recipes and plate presentations, correctly set up according to tickets.
• Deliver food from kitchen to guests in a timely matter cooperatively with the server when additional food runner is not available.
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required.
• Prepare toast as business needs require.
• Maintain clean server line areas. Surfaces, utensils, containers, etc. on server line must be constantly cleaned and organized.
• Be ready and willing to assist co-workers as situations arise.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
• Must have exceptional grooming habits.

REQUIREMENTS:

• MUST BE AVAILABLE 6:00 am to 4:00 pm EVERYDAY INCLUDING HOLIDAYS.
• Full time applicants must consider Keke's as their primary place of employment.
• All Employees must have dark blue jeans with a black belt and black non-slip shoes on the first day of work.
• NO VISIBLE TATTOOS (When wearing a short sleeve polo shirt).
