Job summary

Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood and surrounding counties is seeking a part-time Event Support Technician to assist with event setup, breakdown, and on-site support in rental facilities and designated spaces.

You will move tables and chairs, follow layout diagrams, and provide responsive customer service, with a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills including PowerPoint and ability to learn event technology.
• Ability to read and follow event layout diagrams and set up spaces accordingly.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and perform physical event setup tasks.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and move event-related equipment such as tables and chairs.
• Work independently and with others while delivering professional customer service.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate events, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Sound/audio equipment knowledge preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up and breaking down event spaces.
• Provide onsite support during events and respond to customer and facility needs.
• Help maintain event spaces according to provided specifications.
• Perform other related duties as assigned based on events and operational needs.
