Job summary

Mark Arts is seeking a hands-on Facility Coordinator in Wichita, KS. The part-time, hourly role supports event spaces by setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, and equipment according to floor plans and event specifications.

You will work closely with the Event Manager to ensure timely transitions and accurate layouts. Qualified candidates are physically capable, dependable, and organized, with the ability to read plans, manage schedules, and communicate safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding, hands-on work throughout shifts.
• Ability to read, understand, and execute floor plans and setup diagrams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail to ensure layouts match required setups.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to report for scheduled shifts on time.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Able to safely handle furniture and equipment in active event environments.

Responsibilities

• Complete event setups accurately according to floor plans and diagrams.
• Move, arrange, and position tables, chairs, benches, furniture, equipment, and materials.
• Complete event breakdowns and room transitions within established timelines.
• Return spaces to designated layouts after events and rentals.
• Prepare spaces to be clean, organized, safe, and guest-ready.
• Safely lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Assist with light cleaning and maintain organized storage areas.
• Report maintenance, equipment, safety, or repair needs promptly.
• Follow established setup, teardown, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with other Facility Coordinators, contractors, and staff to complete work on schedule.
