BOS Security is looking for an event security officer to cover the Atlanta area, primarily at the Fernbank Science Center. Shifts run after 5PM, 4-8 hours, with monthly or bi-monthly events, and are open to any weekday or weekend.

Aufgaben

• Trained and qualified to work assigned post with client post instructions.
• Patrolling event on foot during shift and maintain visible presence.
• Patrols buildings and grounds; manage crowd control and maintain order.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates to ensure security; deter rule infractions.
• Inspect equipment for tampering; report hazards and security issues.
• Observe personnel departures to guard client property; permit authorized entry.
• Work beyond regular shifts as assigned; perform other duties as needed.

BOS Security is now reviewing resumes for an eventsecurity officer position for the Atlanta area. Shifts would be working events at the Fernbank Science Center, with most events happening after 5PM both during the week and on the weekend. SCHEDULE: Monthly/bimonthly events at Fernbank, after 5PM, shifts would be 4-8 hours long

ANY DAY DURING THE WEEK INCLUDING WEEKENDS.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Trained and qualified to work assigned post. Understands the specific and general post instructions for that assigned post. Has practical knowledge of all additional and emergency post instructions that are called for by the client
• Patrolling event on foot during entirety of shift
• Maintain a visible presence throughout duration of event
• Patrols buildings and grounds on foot
• Working crowd control and maintaining order during large events
• Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure
• Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred
• Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked
• Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of client property
• Permits authorized persons to enter property
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Security, law enforcement, military, or other related experience and/or training preferred
• Stable work history
• The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and a background check; This position is subject to random drug testing
• MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
  Smartphone, a valid driver's license and your own, working transportation-no drop offs/public transportation, be able to travel 50 miles one way to work and a clean driving history
