Michigan State University seeks an Event Custodian to support MSU event buildings. This limited-term role is 20–32 hours per week with varying shifts (examples: 5pm–11pm, 10pm–2am, 1am–5am, 4pm–10pm) through May 2027.

Responsibilities include cleaning and maintenance tasks such as removing trash, dusting, vacuuming, mopping and restroom disinfection; candidates must have a valid Michigan driver's license, be able to lift over 75 pounds, and maintain a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Michigan vehicle operator's license.
• Frequent lifting of over 75 pounds is required.
• Clean driving record.

• Serves as a liaison with the Department of Public Safety.
• Maintains product inventory.
• Makes independent decisions to accomplish acceptable cleaning standards using appropriate methods, products, and equipment.
• This position will engage in high-performing, leading-edge practices, valuing people, partners, and stewardship.

MSU Event Custodian

Working in the event buildings before and after events for 20-32 hours a week with varying hours and shifts. Some example shifts are: 5 pm to 11 pm, 10 pm to 2 am, 1 am to 5 am, 4 pm to 10 pm, and so on.
This is a limited term position from hire through May 2027.
