Job summary

Safety NetAccess Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Part Time Audiovisual Technician to set up, operate, and maintain AV gear for meetings, conferences, events, and hotel activities. You will ensure a seamless experience by providing technical support and high-quality AV services.

You will perform on-site support, troubleshoot issues promptly, and maintain equipment safety and inventory while coordinating with hotel teams to deliver optimal guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in AV setup and troubleshooting in hotel/event settings.
• Strong knowledge of AV equipment including sound systems, video conferencing tools, projectors, and lighting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Basic understanding of networking and signal flow is a plus.
• A technical degree or certification in Audio-Visual technology is preferred but not required.
• Physical ability to properly lift and move equipment as needed. Up to 75lbs

Responsibilities

• Setup and Operation: Set up and operate audio-visual equipment, including projectors, sound systems, microphones, video conferencing systems, and lighting for meetings, conferences, banquets, and other events.
• Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support during events, troubleshooting and resolving any AV-related issues promptly.
• Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain AV equipment to ensure functionality, cleanliness, and safety standards are met.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of all AV equipment and assist in ordering new equipment as necessary.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of AV setup and technical issues, including maintenance logs and event feedback.
